Fall is here… Our community is putting itself back together after Irene and The Little Red Schoolhouse and its board members are excited to reopen our doors! Irene left us with rescheduled programs and cancellations and delayed our program guides.. but they are here and we’re sooo excited about our modified fall schedule! SEASONAL PROGRAMS:
FANTASTIC FALL FAIRY & GNOME FESTIVAL: 10/9 NOON-3:00 AT LRS Come enjoy an afternoon of magical fun! Build a fairy/gnome house, face painting, bubbles, crafts and stories. Concessions will be available. Dress in your favorite magical wardrobe and join the fun! Volunteers still needed! Let us know if you’d like to help! Rain or shine- if it rains we’ll build ’em inside! AMERICAN GIRL MYSTERY PARTY: 10/11 3:30-5:30 at LRS(MUST REGISTER TO ATTEND, space is limited to 8 persons) Join us in solving an American Girl Mystery! Afternoon snack provided! Your part will be assigned when you register! Ages 7-12.
HALLOWEEN PARTY: 10/15 6:00-8:00 PM at LRS If you were there last year, you know you don’t want to miss it this year! Dancing/music, new and improved costume contest, wagon rides, smore’s and yummy, yummy treats! Great for all ages!

SEW WITH ME: 10/17 5:00-7:00 at LRS Fleece Fun! Project materials and description will be sent out 10/10 so register ahead of time! Parent/Caregiver (not only parents, but could be grandma/pa, aunt, uncle, a neighbor) and child ages 7 and up. Sewing Machines, cutting tools, and instruction will be provided as well as a materials list for each project. IF this is your first time no need to bring anything! Held at LRS.
SCRAPATHON FUNDRAISER: 11/19 9am- 4 pm. Location to be announced! Join us in raising funds for LRS programs. Suggested donation is $35 for the day and includes morning baked goods and coffee as well as a soup/salad lunch. Bring your supplies, your pictures, whatever you are working on and join in the camaraderie as you get some great work done! Creative Memories consultant Karla Day will be on hand with supplies, information and more! If you’ve never done it, NOW IS THE TIME TO TRY! Door prizes, 50/50 raffle and more!

Zumba Latin Dance-Fitness: Thursdays 6-7pm October 22-November 17th

Stay/Get Fit This Holiday Season: Thursday December 1st & 8th 6-7:15 pm
In this workshop we’ll discuss tips and tricks for keeping the pounds off through the holiday season. We’ll touch on healthy snacks and ways to keep your body moving and mind at ease during this fun and sometimes-stressful time period so you can enjoy all of your holiday activities with family and friends. Includes a Zumba or Full body conditioning circuit!
Full Body Conditioning:
Strengthen all of your major muscle groups in an inspiring and motivating group environment. A variety of exercises are used including body weight, interval training, circuit training, and more! This will get your heart pumping and your muscles pushed to the max. All levels welcome! Coming in January!

Community Play Group : Wed 9:30-11:30 Visit with other adults while your children play in a safe and fun environment! Open to parents/caregivers with children aged birth and up. Pack a snack! Please call if it is your first time attending! BEGINS 9/21/11. (A Monday playgroup may be forming, let us know if you are interested!)
Theater Group: Date/time to be released this week! Ages 5-18. Join us in preparing a production of Mid Summer Nights Dream. Requires a commitment to participate. Join us the 1st 2 weeks to see what you think! Begins 10/17/11. Bussing from Wallingford Elementary to LRS is available.
Home school Gatherings: Wednesdays 12:00- 3:00 Little Red Schoolhouse is available to home schooling families to gather, special activities and more! BEGINS 11/2/11.
Asperger’s/Autism Parent Support Group: 4th Tuesday: 7:15-8:30. Open to any families wanting to gather and discuss issues relating to Asperger’s, high-functioning Autism or NLD

To sell items, HOW IT WORKS:
Items must be laundered/clean, possess all their parts and have a tag affixed to them with the following information: Your last name, the price you’re asking, and a contact number.
Upon being sold we will remove the tag and use it to contact and pay you. The Little Red Schoolhouse keeps 40% of your indicated sale price. All persons will be contacted upon completion of the sale to be paid, or pick up unsold merchandise. Upon dropping off items each person will be asked to sign a waiver indicating that LRS has permission to sell unsold item(s) and keep the proceeds if they are not picked up within 1 week.
